1. What (Apa itu Analisis Kluster?)


Analisis kluster adalah metode statistik yang digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data berdasarkan kesamaan karakteristik tanpa informasi label sebelumnya. Tujuan utamanya adalah menemukan pola atau struktur tersembunyi dalam data sehingga objek yang mirip ditempatkan dalam kelompok (cluster) yang sama (Xu & Tian, 2015; Bandyopadhyay & Maulik, 2020).


2. Why (Mengapa digunakan?)


Analisis kluster penting karena:

Membantu menyederhanakan data yang besar dan kompleks.

Digunakan dalam pemasaran untuk segmentasi pelanggan.

Bermanfaat dalam biologi untuk mengelompokkan spesies berdasarkan DNA.

Membantu ilmu komputer dalam machine learning untuk pattern recognition.

Dengan analisis kluster, perusahaan atau peneliti dapat membuat keputusan lebih tepat berdasarkan kelompok yang terbentuk (Aggarwal & Reddy, 2019).


3. Who (Siapa yang menggunakan?)


Metode ini digunakan oleh berbagai kalangan, antara lain:

Peneliti akademik untuk analisis data eksperimen.

Perusahaan dalam strategi pemasaran dan segmentasi pelanggan.

Pakar medis untuk mengelompokkan pasien berdasarkan gejala.

Data scientist dalam unsupervised machine learning.


4. Where (Di mana diterapkan?)


Analisis kluster banyak diterapkan di berbagai bidang, misalnya:

Kesehatan: mengidentifikasi pola penyakit.

Ekonomi: segmentasi pasar.

Pendidikan: pengelompokan gaya belajar mahasiswa.

Teknologi: pengenalan citra dan recommendation system.


5. How (Bagaimana cara kerjanya?)


Cara kerja analisis kluster:


1. Mengumpulkan data dan menstandarisasi variabel.

2. Memilih algoritma klustering, misalnya K-Means, Hierarchical Clustering, atau DBSCAN.

3. Menentukan jumlah cluster yang optimal (misalnya dengan Elbow Method).

4. Mengelompokkan data dan mengevaluasi hasilnya.

Contoh:

Dalam dataset berisi 300 titik data, metode K-Means digunakan untuk mengelompokkan menjadi 3 cluster. Hasilnya dapat divisualisasikan seperti grafik di bawah ini:
