Menembus Jurnal Scopus Q4: Panduan Praktis 2025

Publikasi internasional adalah salah satu syarat penting dalam dunia akademik modern. Scopus menjadi indeks yang paling banyak dipakai universitas di Indonesia untuk mengukur produktivitas dosen maupun mahasiswa pascasarjana. Walaupun sering dipandang sebagai level terendah dalam klasifikasi kuartil, jurnal Q4 justru sering menjadi pintu masuk utama bagi peneliti pemula.

Mengapa demikian? Karena standar yang diterapkan relatif lebih ramah dibanding Q1–Q3, meski tetap menuntut kejelasan metodologi, kebaruan ide, dan kepatuhan pada etika ilmiah (Rahman & Sultana, 2023). Artikel ini membahas secara rinci bagaimana cara meningkatkan peluang diterima di jurnal Scopus Q4 pada tahun 2025.


Apa yang Membuat Q4 Menarik?

Jurnal dengan peringkat Q4 biasanya memiliki CiteScore atau impact factor rendah, sehingga seleksi tidak terlalu ketat. Namun, karya yang masuk tetap tercatat di Scopus dan dapat menunjang kenaikan jabatan fungsional, sertifikasi dosen, maupun akreditasi kampus (Elsevier, 2024).

Selain itu, publikasi Q4 memberikan ruang belajar. Penulis bisa merasakan proses peer review yang ketat tapi masih terjangkau. Lebih dari itu, artikel di Q4 tetap dapat diakses peneliti internasional, sehingga membuka jalan bagi jejaring kolaborasi.


Faktor yang Paling Sering Menggagalkan

Berdasarkan laporan berbagai editor, penolakan umumnya dipicu oleh:

  • Format manuskrip tidak sesuai template jurnal (Cotton et al., 2024).
  • Minimnya kebaruan, hanya mengulang studi terdahulu tanpa perspektif baru.
  • Bahasa Inggris akademik kurang memadai, sehingga argumen tidak jelas (Swales & Feak, 2021).
  • Plagiarisme di atas ambang batas, biasanya >15% (Bretag, 2019).
  • Referensi tidak kredibel, terlalu banyak bersumber dari laman populer atau jurnal predator.

Strategi Menuju Publikasi

1. Kuasai Alur IMRAD Secara Efektif

Kerangka IMRAD (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion) tetap menjadi standar global. Namun, kesalahan paling umum ada di Introduction yang terlalu panjang dan tidak fokus pada celah penelitian. Bagian metode harus bisa ditiru ulang, hasil harus objektif, sementara pembahasan perlu menghubungkan temuan dengan literatur mutakhir (Swales & Feak, 2021).

2. Pilih Tema yang Sedang Berkembang

Topik yang diminati reviewer biasanya punya relevansi global. Kajian tentang AI, transformasi digital, green economy, atau pendidikan pasca-pandemi termasuk tren populer. Studi lokal tetap diperbolehkan, asalkan ditarik ke dalam konteks yang lebih luas agar bisa dibaca peneliti internasional (Rahman & Sultana, 2023).

3. Bangun Fondasi Literatur yang Mutakhir

Artikel Q4 tetap menuntut basis teori yang kuat. Cotton et al. (2024) menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan literature review sering jadi pembeda utama antara artikel diterima dan ditolak. Gunakan minimal 20–30 referensi terbaru (2020–2025), prioritaskan jurnal Scopus atau penerbit bereputasi.

4. Tulis dengan Bahasa Akademik yang Padat Jelas

Bahasa yang bertele-tele sering merusak struktur argumen. Proofreading profesional dapat membantu menjaga tata bahasa dan konsistensi gaya. Prinsip sederhana: gunakan kalimat ringkas, pilih istilah teknis tepat, dan pastikan transisi antarbagian logis (Swales & Feak, 2021).

5. Pastikan Keaslian Tulisan

Cek naskah dengan Turnitin/iThenticate sebelum dikirim. Angka aman biasanya <15%. Hindari menyalin kalimat utuh dari sumber lain; lakukan parafrase dengan pemahaman mendalam (Shi, 2020).

6. Ikuti Pedoman Jurnal dengan Disiplin

Setiap jurnal berbeda, baik dalam format tabel, gaya sitasi, hingga panjang naskah. Kegagalan mengikuti instruksi sederhana sering berujung desk rejection (Elsevier, 2024).

7. Pilih Jurnal yang Tepat

Gunakan SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) atau daftar resmi Scopus untuk memeriksa kelayakan jurnal. Hindari penerbit yang menjanjikan terbit super cepat karena berpotensi predator (Rahman & Sultana, 2023).

8. Respon Review dengan Sabar

Proses peer review biasanya berlangsung 3–6 bulan. Mayoritas artikel melewati revisi. Reviewer menghargai penulis yang menjawab dengan sopan, terstruktur, dan berbasis data (Cotton et al., 2024).

9. Bangun Identitas Riset Online

Profil Google Scholar, ORCID, atau ResearchGate dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan editor. Kehadiran digital penulis memperlihatkan keseriusan dan rekam jejak akademik (Elsevier, 2024).


Ilustrasi Praktis

Seorang mahasiswa S2 di bidang manajemen menulis artikel tentang digital marketing UMKM. Dengan mengaitkan kerangka TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) dan membandingkan Indonesia–Malaysia, artikel tersebut akhirnya diterima di jurnal Q4 setelah tujuh bulan.

Contoh lain, seorang dosen pendidikan meneliti pembelajaran hybrid pasca-pandemi. Setelah memperbaiki tata bahasa Inggris dan menambahkan data, artikelnya diterima di jurnal Q4 open access dengan biaya APC sekitar USD 300.


Catatan Kunci 2025

  • Hindari jurnal predator dengan janji terbit cepat.
  • Kerjasama dengan penulis senior meningkatkan kredibilitas.
  • AI boleh dipakai untuk proofreading atau visualisasi data, bukan sebagai penulis utama (Cotton et al., 2024).
  • Mental siap revisi adalah kunci—jarang sekali artikel diterima tanpa perbaikan.

Menerbitkan artikel di jurnal Scopus Q4 memang bukan proses sekejap, melainkan hasil dari strategi matang, disiplin, dan kesabaran. Q4 bisa menjadi batu loncatan penting untuk membangun rekam jejak publikasi menuju Q3, Q2, bahkan Q1.
